About Us

The Maharashtra State Dental Council is the statutory body created as per the provision of section 21 of the Dentist Act, 1948 with an object to regulate the profession of Dentistry.

Accordingly the then Bombay Government constituted Maharashtra State Dental Council vide Government Notification No.2338/33, dated 21/09/1951.

This is not a profit making institution and the income earned by way of fees is used for the maintainance of this council and the income and expenditure is audited by the office of Chief Auditor, Local Fund Account, Maharashtra State.

As a duly constituted body, enacted through an act of parliament and tasked with the regulation of the dental profession and education in India, it has been our serious endeavor to create and share this pool of common information. It is with this explicit purpose that the web site of the Maharashtra State Dental Council has been updated to make it more relevant and user friendly.

Registration Procedure

The registration application form should be accompanied with Xerox attested copies of University Passing Certificate, Nationality Certificate and Internship Completion Certificate by University, Two Passport Size Colour Photographs, Single Stamp Size Colour Photographs (2’x2’) cms and a Registration fee of Rs.1600/- ( One Thousand And Five Hundred Only + Rs.100/- Postal charges only) by Cash / Demand Draft / Pay Order in the name of Registrar Maharashtra State Dental Council, payable in Mumbai preferably drawn on any Nationalized Bank.

Registration application forms are available in the office of Council and also on Council’s website www.msdcmumbai.org.in at download section.

New Registration

Dear Applicant,

  • The applicant himself must fill in all particulars given on Application Form.
  • All particulars should be in neat legible hand.
  • Candidates should note that their names entered in the application must exactly correspond with their names in the University.
  • Xerox Copies of certificates attached to the application including, Indian Nationality Certificate, B.D.S. passing certificate and Internship Completion Certificate by College and University must be got ATTESTED BY GAZETTED OFFICER.
  • Two Passport size COLOUR photographs should be attached to the application.

Please observe the following points before you start the online New Registration process

Ready the scanned copies of your original cerftificates/documents i.e. Indian Nationality Certificate, B.D.S. passing certificate and Internship Completion Certificate by College and University in .jpeg/.jpg/.gif format.

Renew Registration

The names of the Dentists, who fail to renew their registration between 1st January to 31st March every year as mentioned below, shall stand removed from the register.

However the names of such Dental Practitioners can be re-entered in the register, if he/she pays prescribed renewal fees, together with a Restoration name fee of Rs. 100/- there of, as provided in the Dentists Act, 1948.Renewal of registration available online and offline.In Online renewal user login in with his given credential and then pay prescribed fee by using Internet Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card.Online Payment Gatway charges are added in fees.offline renewal done at office at office hours and office working days.
